I was talking to those kids and they were really friendly and smily, I asked to take pictures of them, and they were more than happy to pose for me, but everytime I took the pics, they would stop smiling and look very serious. ;(

On the way back, going to the airport, we nearly missed our flight, because there was a protest on the streets. The teachers were asking their pay rises that they supposed to have received by the end of 2010. The bus driver was telling me that they asked the indigenous people to help because if the teachers were protesting by themselves, the police would get involved and remove them from the streets. But because the Indigenous people were there as well, then, the police can not get involved, because the Indians are patrimony of the country, they had to wait for FUNAI (National Indian Foundation) to deal with it.

Even though I nearly missed my flight, I was really excited to be able to see the indians dancing in real life! But at the same time I was really praying for that dance not to be a rain dance, because it was so hot and I was loving the weather ;)

The kids were really nice and they asked to take a picture with me! In the same time that they were interesting and different to me, I was really different to than too, a japanese looking girl with blue hair!!! Maybe they though I was a bird! ;)

Brazil – March/April 2011

Just got back from my home town, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
We had an amazing time, we went there for 3 weeks , so many things has happened whilst we were there, that it felt like we were there for longer than that ;)

The phrases written on the back of the trucks, in Brazil are hilarious! This one I spotted on the way to visit my uncle.
