Spring is my favorite Season of the Year! I love to see all the leaves and flowers appearing as if nature is coming back to life again! And I love the fresh smell in the air! I LOVE SPRING!!!!

After 3 months without seeing the sun, finally we had a very nice and sunny day!!! And as we live near the sea, nothing better than a nice walk to the beach. *~,~*

Until last year, any day of the week for me had no difference, because we work from home, everyday felt like Sundays…
But now that my little boy started to go to school, I have my weekends back. And since then, Sundays are our family days, and nothing better than spend a Family Day among the nature.
This is some photos of a nice walk to the beach…. *~,~*

I was in the park with the family and I spotted this strange flower. I tried to find out a bit more about it on the internet but I didn’t find anything ;(
But it made me laugh when I saw it’s shape *~,~*

A mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source. Mushrooms are not plants: they are a fungus. They eat organic matter, and do not photosynthesize like plants do.(from Wikipedia)

I always loved mushrooms for its shape and because of the cartoons I used to watch when I was a child, when they were used as the beautiful little houses for the cartoon characters. But I never like the taste of them, so I never used to eat them. Until one day, when I was living in Japan, I was walking in Shibuya, and there they were, being sold on the streets like any other products, little bags of “strange” mushrooms, hmmm, and as a curious person that I am, I had to try them and man, what was that? Craaaazy stuff!
But a few months later, they stopped selling them because the japanese students were going nuts on them. And so did I.

This place is sooo special! It took my breath away when I saw those thousands and thousands of butterflies flying around and resting on all those trees and rocks, covering them as patterns.
It is located in the island of Rhodes, Greece. In August, thousands of butterflies (species Quadripunctaria Poda) overwhelm the valley in order to reproduce. During the rainy period, the Butterflies in the caterpillar stage remain in the Mediterranean thicket (arbutus, myrtle and rush) feeding on the foliage. As the end of the wet season approaches, towards the end of May, the final stage is concluded and the butterfly in all her perfection makes her appearance. They move constantly towards areas of highest humidity, always following the “water ways”. As the dry period progresses, they finally arrive at the Valley.
The butterfly has an atrophic peptic system, meaning has no stomach. From May until the mating period (for the males), and until the egg lying period (for the females) they do not eat. They survive from the energy stored from their previous lives as caterpillars. The disturbance of visitors is forcing the butterflies to fly all day, consuming valuable energy. And even though I was feeling privileged to be there, at the same time I was feeling really guilty for being one more tourist disturbing them by standing there and taking those pictures ;(

I have been exploring the country side of England and in search of some inspiration for my new work and during one of my expeditions, I met this friend, this tiny, shall I say, bug? I have never seem this type of insect before. He looked so frightened and I could see the look of his face, it was almost human and it made me believe that we can be reborn as anything *~,~*
